Roland R-26
The Roland R-26 is a light-weight and compact 6 channel audio recorder. It will do an excellent job for hand held field recordings. The touch screen interface is intuitive to use and allows easy access to the different menus. The R-26 as two kind of built in stereo microphones, pair of omni directional mics and a pair of directional mics. There is also a pair of external XLR/TRS inputs. All 6 inputs can be recorded at the same time. WAV and BWF files up to 24-bit as well as MP3 files are recorded to SD cards. The R-26 runs on AA batteries or AC power.
