Campus Computer Resources
In addition to the many resources available in the F&DM department, the following computer labs and stations are recommended to Film & Digital Media students for video editing needs:
Porter Arts Computer Lab – Room D-240:
This lab contains 21 brand new high end 27″ Retina iMac student workstations. These stations have the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite, as well as Final Cut Pro X. This lab is highly recommended for any digital video editing or compositing work.

Social Sciences 1 Computer Lab – Room 135:
This computer lab has 24 21.5″ iMacs. Unfortunately these stations are five years old and the Porter lab listed above should be your first choice when needing an editing station. Despite the age of the machines, it does have the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite installed. This lab is only recommended for very light video editing/post production work (such as the coursework in 20P).

Digital Scholarship Commons Lab
This small lab of high performance Apple computers in the McHenry Library contains the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications in a compatible version with the Film and Digital Media facilities computers. More information can be found on the official DSC Lab webpage.
